OUR MINISTRIES
Evangelism / Outreach
The purpose of the Evangelism / Outreach ministry is to identify and reach the unchurched through committed team members. Our goal is to provide spiritual and physical care to those who have contact. We strive to open avenues for hearing the Gospel by displaying the love of Christ through acts of evangelism service to the community.
New Members Orientation
This class is a formal introduction to the Body of Christ through the perspective of Grant Chapel Baptist Church. The class provides a time to focus on church protocol, study the Word, and to learn church doctrine.
Culinary
Grant Chapel Baptist Church builds on the foundation of Jesus Christ, the Culinary Ministry through prayer, praise and faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ strives to glorify God by providing excellence in foodservice. We aspire for the love of Jesus Christ to be exemplified in our ministering as food service handlers. We are committed to practicing the high-quality standards required for health and safety, relative to the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
Usher / Greeter Ministry
Ushers / Greeters are the first representatives that persons meet when entering the church. The goal is to ensure that visitors and congregation attain comfortable seating and worship service free of distraction.
Praise Dance Ministry
Praise Dance Ministry is designed to express the art of dance through praise and worship of our Lord Jesus Christ. The art of dance expresses the feeling and emotions of God in which His holy spirit flows through the very being as one dances. Dancers will minister to others through Song, Praise, and Dramatization. To teach, instruct, guide, and train dancers to minister with a purpose. To develop biblical interpretations of worship dance which is the beginning of sacrificial giving to God. To equip the dancer with the power of sanctuary revelation through the hearing voice of God.
Transportation Ministry
To provide transportation services to our church family and community who lack transportation to attend church.
Youth Ministry
We encourage, equip, and empower our youth to excel spiritually. We provide them with the knowledge to pursue an ongoing relationship with God. We also empower them to take ownership of their faith and teach them to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others through outreach, missions, and evangelism.
Discovering the Word Ministry
The goal is to provide a weekly in-depth study of the Word of God. Sessions are held on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday evenings. During these times we review topics that study the Bible and Sunday School lessons. There is time for discussion and fellowship among the attendees.
Sick and Shut-In Ministry
To share the love of God and the hope of healing, based on the Christian faith. To provide a personal touch and minister through calls, cards, prayer, and offering communion to ensure that members continue to feel part of Grant Chapel - even during seasons of illness or life changes that prevent them from worshiping with their church family. "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." - James 5:14-15
